While we were in Cape May last week the monarch migration was in full force.
The Monarchs were everywhere, but especially on the tall sunflower
Heliantheum giganteus. Many on all the flowers.
Overnight they rested on the trees.
We watched them wake up in the morning to resume feeding, before they untook the 10 mile flight over the Delaware River.
It was magnificent!
