Meadow

Down in the meadow you may see the bluebird and the tree swallow arguing over whose box this is.

You may see Golden Alexanders beginning to bloom in meadow 2.

You may see a solitary sandpiper.

Or you may miss him if he is on shore.

You may see the geese in the pond, but don't miss seeing where they have left their calling cards.

Soon you will see the front meadow pop into bloom.

Mineral Hill

Mineral Hill is 27 miles from Foulkeways in Middletown townshop. There were 17 of us walking in the woods by Ridkley Creek. This is an area proserved with Natural Lands Trust as the coordinator in the preservation process.

Bees

The beekeepers came today to check the hives, move some trays around, and hope to prevent the bees from swarming. All four hives looked to be in good condition.

A puff of smoke quiets the bees.

Philadelphia Orchestra

We are headed for the Kimmel Center to hear a performance by the Philadelphia Orchestra.
The Eiffel Tower in the lobby.

Pretty umbrellas hover over a bistro stand.
An empty stage. All of the musician left to go to the audience with flyers asking support for the musicians stand that bankruptcy is not necessary and it will have a devastating impact on the orchestra.

April Fool

Mother Nature's April Fool's joke on us, was SNOW!
A snowbird with snow on his back! But notice the green shoots. Spring IS coming.
