Today our bee man came to reverse the boxes on the hives, and check on the condition of the hives. He noticed lots of pollen going in, and thought the hives were in good condition. The boxes are reversed, as the bees tend to go up in the hive.
The smoker is used to quiet the guard bees.
Removing the frame and checking the condition of the hive, to see if the queen has been laying eggs and the larvae are being fed.
