Weed or Wildflower

Fig buttercup or lesser celandine is a weed that forms dense patches displacing many native plant species like bloodroot, wild ginger, spring beauty, trout lily and others.

A few marsh marigolds can be found here at Foulkeways. It is a wildflower of wet areas and very toxic. Don't eat it!

This is cardamine or bitter cress, and can be found all over. Definitely a weed, but only a problem if it is in your garden.

This Thyme-leaved speedwell or Veronica is just too pretty in my book to be called a weed.

This vinca or periwinkle is an escapee from the garden, so some might call it a weed when it is in the woods.
