Phragmites

Here are the phragmites as they were.
Here are the cut phragmites. Both the phragmites and the catails are invasive aliens, The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association cut them down, and when they start growing again they will spray them. In the Spring they will evaluate and replant with native wetland vegetation.



When we see our rejuvenated wetlands in the Spring, maybe we should consider a contribution to the WVWA.
